Wish List While cash donations are very important to keeping our Club running, in-kind donations also can play a huge role in helping us meet our mission. The following is a list of items we're almost always willing to accept:
- Postage (first class stamps and postcard stamps)
- Photo paper and ink cartridges (Canon 51 & 52)
- Gift Certificates to area grocery stores, dept. stores (Jewel, Ikea, Target, Wal-Mart) and restaurants
- Cleaning supplies (409, dish soap, Lysol, Mr. Clean erasers, paper towels, trash bags)
- Scrap booking supplies
- Soccer ball/ basketball air pump
- Arts & crafts supplies:
- Paints.
- Paintbrushes.
- Construction paper/craft paper.
- Finger paint
- School supplies (new items preferred).
- Pencils/pens
- Notebooks
- Looseleaf paper
- Crayons
- Markers
- Backpack
- New sports equipment (e.g. soccer balls, basketballs, baseball equipment, etc.)
- New or gently used child appropriate board games.
- Chess, Checkers
- Apples to Apples
- Puzzles (30-100 pieces)
- Playing cards
- Life, Monopoly, Outburst, Jr.
- Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit
- Mancala
- Card games (Uno, Phase 10)
- Two way radios, rechargeable (walkie-talkies)
- New or gently used label makers (Brother brand, preferred).
- New or gently used laminating machine
- Heavy duty letter folder
- Educational video tapes or DVD's
- New t-shirts blank or with Club logo (kid sizes).
- Blank rewritable CD's.
- Projector for Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
- New or gently used general office supplies:
- Manila folders
- Avery labels (5160 & 5163)
- Legal pads
- Copy paper (white & color)
- Pens (black ink preferred)
- Post-it notes
- Highlighters
- Etc.
- New or gently used fax machine
- New couches and comfortable chairs (any color)
- New or gently used vacuum cleaner
- Plastic storage bins
- Volunteers

Please call us before making your donation because there is always the chance that we may not be able to accept your in-kind contribution at this time. You may call Cheryl Wendt at 847-608-5017 ext. 119. Also please understand that for tax purposes, the Boys & Girls Club of Elgin will issue a donation letter for in-kind donations, but the Club will never place a value on those donations. We encourage you to work with your accountant to place a value on your donated items.
